Blocking Popup Ads in Chrome
If you use Chrome on Android for web browsing, then you can block popup ads by following the process listed in this section.
Step 1: Open Chrome on your Android smartphone and click on the three vertical dots to the right of the address bar.
Step 2: Tap on the settings section and scroll down to the site settings option.
Step 3: Click on the pop-ups section to get the slider for turning it off.
Step 4: Tap on the slider to disable this feature. This will stop the pop-ups ads from showing in chrome in Android.
Third-Party Apps
If you want to adopt a more aggressive ad-blocking mechanism, then you may have to install third-party apps or plugins. Currently, the chrome on Android does not support any plugins for this purpose. They may start supporting it in the near future, but for now there is no option for any plugin installation. Hence, you will have to use other browsers like Firefox, Microsoft Edge, etc.
