Xiaomi hasn’t released the Mi 6 in major countries like US & India. But if you have one anyway, you’ll be tasting the sweet Oreo on your device pretty soon. Xiaomi has started to roll the Closed Beta for Android 8.0 for the Mi 6 for users in their User Community in China.
With this implementation the Mi 6 is probably the first Xiaomi device to get the Oreo update & it’ll be based on MIUI 9. The update will probably hit the Mi Note 3, Mi Mix 2 & Mi A1 as well but, we don’t know exactly when.
But, Xiaomi what about your other popular devices like the Redmi Note 4 & Mi Max 2 ? We hope you’ll not completely avoid these devices. Specially the Redmi Note 4 cause so many people have purchased that device in India & China. So, we are actually expecting you guys to not skip the update in your budget devices cause those are the devices you actually sell the most.
