The new way for using low-end hardware while keeping the Android experience smooth is definitely going to be Google’s Android Go which is a lighter compared to the traditional OS but, should be able to provide a good user experience.
The OS brings some lighter (Go) versions of Google Apps alongside which shall complement the lighter OS as well.
Now, previously we have heard of the Nokia 1 which is almost confirmed to be equipped with Android Go & it is coming on Feb 25th when Nokia will announce the complete line up of their 2018 devices.
However, Google has confirmed that there are several Android Go devices that’ll get announced in the MWC of this year. In a recent blog post they said,
“Starting next week, you’ll see the first set of Android Oreo (Go edition) phones, and soon after they’ll be available for you to purchase.”
The version of Oreo will be Android 8.1 if that matters to you & the RAM options will be 1GB or maybe even less in all the smartphones that’ll get announced.
