Samsung Galaxy Note FE (Note 7) Starts Receiving Android Oreo Update In South Korea

About two days ago, we reported that the Galaxy Note FE (aka Note 7) has passed Wi-Fi certification with Android Oreo so, the update should be rolling out soon. Well, according to a report by Sammobile, the update has already started to roll out in South Korea.

According to the report, the Oreo update is rolling out under two major South Korean carriers including SK Telecom & LG Uplus as of now but the others carriers shall push the update pretty soon as well.

The Android version is 8.0 so, again no 8.1 but, the update also brings Samsung Experience 9.0 alongside. That means several improvements which the Experience 9.0 brought in the Galaxy Note 8, should be present in this one as well. The regular Android Oreo features like PIP, Notification Dots etc. will definitely be there.

When Samsung started selling the refurbished Galaxy Note 7’s with a smaller Battery by calling it the Note FE (Fan Edition), pretty much no one had any idea if the device will receive the Oreo update or not but, even if Samsung is a bit late to the party, we are happy to see that Samsung hasn’t skipped the update.
