Samsung has always been pretty slow in terms of Android Upgrades. The Galaxy S8, S8+ and the Note 8 received the Android 8.0 Oreo update within the last couple of months & the previous generation of Samsung Flagships are next on the list.

The Android 8.0 powered Galaxy S7 (SM-G930) & S7 Edge (SM-G935) has recently passed Wi-Fi Certification which confirms that Samsung has finalized the Oreo update for the S7 & S7 Edge and the update may roll out anytime now.

As far our expectations go, the Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge might receive the Oreo update in late April or early May. The update is expected to improve the system snappiness & stability alongside introducing stock Oreo features to the devices.

Many of you were also curious about if the Galaxy Note FE has any chances of getting Android Oreo or not so, well it’ll probably get Oreo but, there is no confirmation as of now & even if it arrives then, it’ll possibly arrive pretty late in June or July.
